Supporting employee mental health

Enhancing Workplace Wellbeing

mental health matters

With stress, anxiety and depression responsible for 50% of working days lost per year, its more important than ever to provide your employees with essential mental health support.

We know it can be a struggle to meet this need effectively when your resources are tied up in focusing on growing your business. It’s tempting to use cheap EAP providers, offering generic mental health support over the phone. No choice, no matching – just the next available counsellor.

They price on an assumed usage model too, the less you use, the more money they make.

Doesn’t sound right does it?

support for your team

Mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and stress can lower job satisfaction and productivity, impacting both individuals and organizations. Addressing these issues helps reduce absenteeism, presenteeism, and lost productivity.

Supporting workplace mental health lowers absenteeism, reduces turnover, and boosts engagement. When employees feel supported, they are more motivated and committed, creating a positive work environment. Investing in mental health enhances job satisfaction and loyalty.

Our service offers a superior alternative to traditional EAPs with personalized, flexible, and effective mental health support. Our platform allows employees to choose their therapist, offers unlimited sessions, and improves user experience, leading to better mental health outcomes, stronger culture, and higher productivity.

Prevent Mental health issues becoming costly problems with early therapeutic intervention.

Maintain Promote a supportive work culture and implement appropriate policies to support wellbeing in the workplace.

Support Long term absence employees with their recovery and bring them back on track.

the cost of inaction

Neglecting workplace mental health can lead to higher healthcare costs, disability claims, and lost productivity.

Addressing these issues through targeted interventions not only cuts costs but also boosts employee performance and retention.

Supporting mental health is both a moral duty and a smart strategy for long-term organisational success.

Businesses face several challenges in offering effective mental health support:

  • Access to Services: Small businesses often can’t afford personalised mental health services or struggle to find specialised care.
  • Economic Impact: Employees lose an average of 50 workdays a year due to mental health issues, costing the UK economy around £138 billion annually.
  • Cultural Challenges: Generic Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) don’t effectively foster a culture of mental health awareness and support.

Decline

How much has been spent on their recruitment or training? How valuable is their “know how”?

E.g. £5000 on recruitment £2500 on training 3 months salary to get someone else to the same level?

Presenteeism

Where employees come to work despite being physically or mentally unwell, which can lead to reduced productivity and can negatively affect their health and the workplace environment.

Employee Leaves Role

How long did they suffer quietly?
Could they have been supported sooner?
How much would it cost to rehire?

Recruitment

How much time and money is paid out to recruiters?
How long does it take to find the new hire?
