Our two Kickstarters have been on the come-up! They started out with no office experience at all and have grown to become two very valuable members of the KUHR team. This year we’ve laughed, made memories and exchanged gifts.
If you ask us, it still feels like yesterday when they joined us. Their days in the office are wildly different to when they first arrived but don’t just take our word for it…here are their experiences of the past few months in their own words.
Tia, on her progression over the past six months
“6 months ago I started out as a kick-starter with no experience in HR. Over the months of working for Kate Underwood HR and Training, I have gained so much experience in HR and in business in general. I started out as an HR Assistant and now in recent weeks, I have been promoted to HR Administrator. As I gain more confidence and experience I’ve also managed to get a promotion and secure a permanent position.
I couldn’t be happier in my job and my colleagues have been so very supportive of me, helping guide me to where I am now. In the New Year, I start an apprenticeship in HR alongside my job to not only gain more work experience but also more knowledge in my job role. I can’t wait to see what the next six months bring me and I look forward to continuing to grow at Kate Underwood HR and Training.”
Dyllan’s perspective on his journey with KUHR
“You guys don’t understand, it really doesn’t matter what it says on my contract, or how long I’ve been at KUHR. The fact of the matter is, this is the first and only time I’ve experienced professionalism from a first-person perspective. KUHR was the only place to give me a chance (but in the defense of all the others, I wouldn’t be working here if they had done)!
In 6 months I’ve progressed from a “Marketing Assistant” to a “Marketing Coordinator”! The biggest change and adjustment has been that I am now the one in charge of how I spend my time. I still make material for clients, I still write blogs and articles and build landing pages as well as launch campaigns! Only this time around, I have more freedom to put my own ideas forward as well as the responsibility to make others ideas happen.”
